I’m a writer, and I’m Dallas.
That’s why this website isn’t in third person, because now you know I wrote it.
The work
Writing is how I chose to explore the world. And with a lot of adaptability and a little humor, I love people as much as I enjoy words.
Copywriting, video, and long-form content creation is what I do. And while advertising has exclusively captivated my career for the past five years, I colloquially consider myself a writer, not just a copywriter, because I’ve written many things at this point in my career including but not limited to video scripts, food CPG, luxury apartment branding, websites, billboards, press releases, speeches, and even zamboni ads.
My portfolio covers a lot of brands, industries, interests, and geography—reach out if you’d like me to gesticulate about it in person.
The person
Colorado has been home since 2005 with intermittent stints in Brazil, China, England, and South Africa. Location is important to me because I like to spelunk cultures, both foreign and familiar. I’m instinctually curious about most things and am fascinated by everything from the comedy of banal day-to-day life to geopolitics. Being raised by an anthropologist has greatly influenced how I learn, interpret, and understand culture.
Adaptability is my default reaction. I started rock climbing as a teenager, and it’s been a rewarding avenue to meet delightfully weird people and bask in self-imposed stress. Food has never just been fuel for me, it’s my muse and how I celebrate people in my life. While spicy food is poetry to my palate, I unwind by reading history and wind up with live music and travel.
