Senior Copywriter and Creative Strategist

Hi, I’m Dallas,

I’ve spent 10+ years creating high-performing marketing and advertising content across in-house teams, freelance projects, and creative agencies.

And I enjoy infusing my work with everything that I’ve learned living, working, and studying across five continents. Because experience-based wisdom can’t be replicated.

With writing as my foundation, I know how to put AI to work with sound judgment and strategy-led creativity.

Career highlights

I’m thankful to have worked with so many intriguing brands and delightful people.

How I work

I love people as much as I love words, and my career has been about getting the two to meet. I'm a creative strategist who writes. I figure out who a brand needs to reach and what will move them, then turn that into campaigns and content that work. Some of those campaigns won awards, and one drove 4,857 sales.

It's a wild time to be a writer. The tools change every month, and adaptability has always been my greatest strength. I use AI when deadlines and budgets get ferocious, but my judgment is what makes the work good: knowing the audience, the strategy and the one line that matters.

Advertising has been my focus for the past six years, but I think of myself as a writer first, not just a copywriter. Before agency life, I ran PR and lobbying for a national housing nonprofit, ghostwrote for a CEO, and taught business English in Shanghai and Rio de Janeiro. And I've written video scripts, vegan mac and cheese packaging, luxury apartment brands, websites, billboards, press releases, speeches and even ads on Zambonis. Wherever you need words, I'll bring tested strategy and experience.

How I live

Colorado has been home since 2005 with intermittent stints in Brazil, China, England, Mexico, and South Africa. Location is important to me because I like to spelunk cultures, both foreign and familiar. I’m instinctively curious about most things and am fascinated by everything from the comedy of banal daily life to the geopolitics of a disputed border. I was raised by an anthropologist, and this has greatly influenced how I learn, interpret, and understand culture—it shows up in my approach to work too.

I started rock climbing as a teenager, and it’s been a rewarding avenue to meet delightfully weird people while I’ve come to appreciate basking in self-imposed stress. It’s taught me how to break down problems, remain resilient, and enjoy unbelievably difficult processes.

Food has never just been fuel for me, it’s my muse and how I celebrate people in my life. Spicy food is the poetry of my palate. I unwind by reading history and wind up with live music or travel.
